MiniPEDIE – Discovering the world
Main idea: Small format, sturdy pages and moving parts — just a few motifs per spread so toddlers can name and discover without getting lost.
The MiniPEDIE Discovering the world series (Svojtka, art by Nathalie Choux) is a staple at our house between one and three. Small format, sturdy pages and moving parts — slide, pull, turn — so looking is fine-motor play too.
Each spread keeps just a few motifs, not a crowded picture. That worked well for us with toddlers: they can name and discover without getting lost. Farm was the first we brought home; more volumes followed what the kids were living (zoo, sea, bedtime…).
Roughly from age one (some children earlier with supervision). Czech editions of the French Nathan / KidiDOC line.
Selection from Discovering the world (covers below):
- Farm
- Colours
- The body
- Fruit
- Family
- The sea
- Bedtime
- The forest
- Emotions
- The garden
- Zoo
- At home
The series is longer — this is a selection we’ve verified or that belongs to the core white line. Don’t confuse them with the colourful MiniPEDIE “first picture stories” or the “play” / sound variants; here it’s the classic white Discovering the world line.
